Is Corian Solid Surface stain-resistant?
Corian® Solid Surface is stain-resistant. Because Corian® Solid Surface is nonporous, stains can't penetrate the surface, so it's easy to clean and maintain. Unlike natural stone, Corian® Solid Surface never requires sealing.
Is Corian Solid Surface heat resistant?
We do not recommend placing a hot pot directly on Corian®Solid Surface. Although Corian® Solid Surface remains stable and undamaged in temperatures up to 212°F (100°C), high heat or flame will damage your surface. In most cases, this damage can be repaired. To protect your Corian® Solid Surface from heat damage, always use a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet when using hot pots, or heat-generating appliances like electric skillets or electric cooking pots.

What is HI-MACS®?
It is a solid surface material comprising of 75% natural mineral and pigments set in an acrylic matrix.
What can it be used for?
HI-MACS® is so versatile that it can be used for a wide variety of applications in the home or in commercial property.
How is it cleaned?
Normal cleaning is just done using soapy water. If marks remain on the surface, materials such as Cif or Flash can be used.
What finish is available?
HI-MACS® can be sanded to give any finish from matte to a high gloss. However, to keep cleaning and maintenance to a minimum a semi-gloss / satin finish is recommended.
